3.      Johnny Cueto, RHP: The 25 year old has spent four seasons in the majors with the Reds. His career record is 41-37 with a 3.83 ERA. Signed by the Reds as an amateur free agent out of the Dominican Republic in 2004.

1.      Chris Gruler, RHP: The 28 year old spent four seasons in the minor leagues where he compiled a record of 3-5 with a 5.05 ERA. He never pitched above Lo-A Dayton (Midwest) where he made a combined 10 starts between 2002 and 2003. Had three shoulder reconstruction surgeries and was forced to retire from playing at the age of 23. He wowed scouts in high school with a 96-mph fastball. 2.      Ty Howington, LHP: The 30 year old spent five seasons in the minor leagues where he compiled a record of 22-35 with a 4.08 ERA. He made it as far as Double-A Chattanooga (Southern). In 2004 he required shoulder surgery to repair a torn labrum and in 2005 he had surgery on his shoulder capsule. He currently is the pitching coach for Centralia College in the state of Washington that play in the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges. Drafted by the Reds in the 1st round (14th overall) of the 1999 amateur draft.
3.      David Espinosa, SS: The 29 year old has spent 10 seasons in the minors where he has a career batting average of .269 with 81 HR and 446 RBI. He spent the 2011 season in independent ball playing for the Grande Prairie AirHogs (American Association) and Southern Maryland Blue Crabs (Atlantic League). Drafted by the Reds in the 1st round (23rd overall) of the 2000 amateur draft.
4.      B.J. Szymanski, OF: The 29 year old spent five seasons he the minors where he had a career batting average of .240 with 53 HR and 201 RBI. He last played in 2008 with Triple-A Louisville (International). Drafted by the Reds in the 2nd round of the 2004 amateur draft.
5.      Miguel Perez, C: The 28 year old appeared in 2 games in the majors with the Reds where he failed to get a hit in 3 at bats.
