Current team President and Hall of Fame pitcher Nolan Ryan finished his playing career in 1993 as a member of the Texas Rangers after posting a career record of 324-292 with a 3.19 ERA and 5,714 strikeouts.
Ironically, 1993 was the first season that “Walker, Texas Ranger” aired on CBS staring Chuck Norris.  Today the two most recognizable Texas Rangers remain Ryan and Norris, both considered to be tough as nails, with freakish bodies and no-nonsense attitudes, who can take care of themselves (just ask Robin Ventura).
